At Atria Senior Living, support often extends beyond the workplace and into employees’ lives and families. One example is the Ronnie Boatman Scholarship, a unique program designed to help college-aged children and dependents of Atria employees pursue higher education and build brighter futures.
For Sulta, a Resident Services Assistant at Atria Tinton Falls, seeing her son, Joshua, receive the 2026 Ronnie Boatman Scholarship was both emotional and affirming.
“It really means a lot,” Sulta said. “I’m so proud of him. Joshua is very supportive and has put in so much effort. He is very deserving.”
Joshua will attend Monmouth University this fall, where he plans to play football while studying business. He said the scholarship helps ease some of the financial pressure that comes with higher education. More than that, though, it made him feel recognized.
“My mom works hard every day,” Joshua said. “Seeing that kind of motivates me to do the same.”
That sense of support is something Sulta understands personally. She began her career at Atria as part of the housekeeping team before earning certification as a home health aide and transitioning into a caregiving role, where her colleagues say she is invaluable.
“Sulta is a star,” says Angela, Community Business Director at Atria Tinton Falls. “She’s one of the most dependable people I know. Always willing to help and always positive, and residents and coworkers really gravitate toward her.”
Angela said Sulta’s dedication and growth make moments like this especially meaningful.
“She works incredibly hard for her family,” Angela said. “When opportunities like this come along, it’s wonderful to see someone like Sulta and her son benefit from it.”
